All businesses and organisations across Glasgow, Inverclyde, North and South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, and West Dunbartonshire (the Glasgow City Region) can apply.

To apply for the follow-on grant funding from GCID, businesses need to be SMEs (less than 250 employees) and within the Glasgow City Boundary.

The project is fully funded so there is on cost attached. The CLIC programme has invested £1.2 million in establishing six new Innovation Hubs across Glasgow and the West of Scotland to foster innovation in local businesses, one of which is the Centre for Innovation Leadership at City of Glasgow College where this programme is delivered.

The application process is in two parts, both of which need to be completed by 5pm on Friday 13th June.

  1. Complete the online application form with your basic details and course preference.
  2. Visit the CLIC webpage and complete the online Innovation Assessment (click ‘Start Your Assessment Now’ on the home page.) This will help assess your digital capabilities, allowing us to tailor our support to you. More importantly, it will provide you with an action plan on how to develop these capabilities, enhancing your businesses use of digital technologies and platforms. The assessment shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to complete.

The City of Glasgow College team will be in touch the week beginning 26th June 2025 with the outcome of your application.

The programme is delivered on three consecutive Wednesdays in-person at the City of Glasgow College City Campus.

Start time will be 10am with an estimated finish time of 4:30pm. The course will be a mixture of taught sessions, workshops and guest speakers.

Both GCID and CLIC will endeavour to support you throughout your innovation journey and beyond.

Our aim to drive digital innovation and productivity doesn’t end when the funding does.
