Technology & Innovation Zone will consist of a £150M Passivhaus development to double innovation space at the Technology & Innovation Centre. The new Technology & Innovation Zone will boost Scotland's innovation economy, accelerate recovery and further raise the profile of GCID as one of the UK's leading innovation destinations.
As part of City Deal funding an £11.5M transformation of High Street Station in the Merchant City is underway. The station connects Glasgow to Edinburgh Waverley.
Plans have been submitted to build a new 11-story residential block by CarsonSall Architects. The new development would include 239 residential flats including a rooftop terrace and a number of shared amenities.
The Met Tower is set to be redeveloped and transformed into a new 60m net zero digital and tech hub by property developers Bruntwood SciTech. Collegelands is a £200M built to rent development in the city centre. The new development consists of 729 apartments as well as 99 student studios for the vibrant student market in the city.
Love Loan is a £100M development by the Chris Stewart Group on George Street. The development will combine the refurbishment of heritage buildings with a new build to create a mixed-use space including a hotel, residential, office and leisure amenities.
As part of Glasgow City Council's plans to transform the city's old Meat Market, the site will see the creation of 700 homes and the redevelopment of Glasgow's historic and listed Meat Market sheds as part of the £111M transformation.
Preparatory work has begun on the £300M regeneration of Candleriggs Square. The Drum Property Group have had plans approved for a 500-bed hotel to be built on the 3.6-acre site.
