Scottish Women in Business are pleased to announce new committee members this year, which will enable them to capitalise on the growth of the network and support to its members.

The network has seen incredible growth last year, with a focus on a review of their systems, practices, and process.

In addition to newer committee members, there have also been some changes to the current structure of the network.

Sarah Heaney of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, who demonstrated brilliance in her role of VP, moves into the role of president. During the recent announcement at the annual AGM Sarah said:

“I dream of a world where organisations like SWIB are no longer needed. That equity, diversity and inclusion just happen because it is the right thing to do but, in a week, where Claudia Goldin is awarded the Nobel Economics Prize for her work on Women’s employment and pay (only the 3rd women to receive the prize and the first not to share the award with male colleagues) we certainly aren’t there yet”.

Heather Offord of Clarity Consultants, will be stepping up to the role of VP and will be supported by the following committee members:

Katy Morrison of Connect Three, Laurie Macpherson of Laurie Macpherson, Clare Baillie of Star Consultancy, Natalie O'Hare of Beyond HR, Lynn Gibb of RBC Brewin Dolphin, Gemma Carpenter of University of Strathclyde, Ibiyemi Omeihe of University of the West of Scotland, Stephanie Ebner a Financial Advisor, Lora Barclay of Waterstons and Emma McIntyre at Limeside Creative Ltd.

The committee would also like to show their appreciation and gratitude to Bayile Adeoti who steps down from her year as President – who achieved all she set out to within her time in role. Congratulations to Tracy Scott who has been given the Honorary President title and remains to be a critical part of implementing transformative system changes within the network.

Scottish Women would also like to recognise the following committee members who will be stepping down this year: Katie Gilmour, Leanne Scobie and Hazel McBride. Thank you for your time and commitment.

Scottish Women in Business exist to offer inclusive spaces for women to Communicate, Connect, Collaborate with other professionals. They are excited about what they can achieve this year as they continue to grow and develop as a leading network in Scotland and invite new members and supporters to attend future events.
