City, regional, national and global partnerships

  • Position GCID as a world-leading innovation district via collaboration with international districts including @22 (Barcelona), MaRS (Toronto) and Kendall Square (Cambridge, Massachusetts).
  • Work with UK Government (DBT, DSIT, Innovate UK), Scottish Government, Glasgow City Region (GCR), Glasgow City Council (GCC), Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Scottish Enterprise to attract inward investment to GCID.
  • Raise GCID’s profile at major global innovation and investment forums.
  • Develop and deliver ‘Grow Glasgow’ trade proposition with GCC, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, UK Department of Business and Trade and Scottish Development International to promote trade and internationalisation. 
  • Leverage GCID’s memberships of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), the Global Institute of Innovation Districts (GIID), UK Innovation Districts Group (UKIDG) and the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) to raise GCID’s national and international reputation as a global Innovation District, delivering an increase in inward investment enquiries.
